DISCOVER THE STORY

THE PROBLEM

Lack of goverment support, coupled with tough economic conditions, has restricted the growth of surfing in Cuba.

SURFER'S QUOTE

Cubans are the type of people who know how to find happiness where many times it doesn’t exist. We know how to change things for the better when it’s not going well. When we have a problem, we don’t think about the problem, we think about the solution.

THE MISSION

THE MISSION

LEGITIMIZE SURFING IN CUBA

GIVE CUBAN SURFERS A VOICE
Economic hardships have made it nearly impossible for the surf community to voice their opinions. We want to provide for them an opportunity to be heard.
PROMOTE SURFING IN CUBA
Capture the raw passion that Cuban surfers have for the sport and the ocean while presenting the struggles they face in order to catch waves.
GET MORE CUBANS SURFING
We want to see more Cubans on surf boards. In a country saturated by baseball, boxing, and soccer, we hope that more Cubans will take up surfing as an adventurous alternative.
CREATE A SOCIAL MOVEMENT
Capture and tell a story that inspires the global surf community to help the Cuban surf community in any way that they can.

CULTURE

Cuba's isolation from the global surf community, popular surf media, and industry trends–as difficult as it is–has enabled the country's surfers to develop their own style and sense of surf identity.
